As a graphic design student, I was assigned with the task of either creating my own product to design and name, or to redesign an existing product. Over the course of my research time, I had stumbled across the product of Astronaut Ice Cream - a product which I have eaten before. It is a fun and messy novelty snack that I enjoyed as a kid. After ordering it online, coming back to see this packaging was a let down, however. I felt like it did not truly represent the food it was advertising. I wanted a more resolved solution that gave the buyer a more accurate representation of what this snack looks like and feels like, but still has a playful futuristic sort of feel.
